E.A.T Breakfast: Developing a concept that works

Category:
Furnware, Inverse Hair Conditioning system and Hobbiton

ExportNZ Bay of Plenty with support from the University of Waikato are pleased to present yet another outstanding line-up of speakers for our second E.A.T Breakfast for 2016.

We will hear from three inspirational speakers from some of New Zealand's fantastic export companies as they share their stories of developing a concept using insight from their consumers

Hamish Whyte, the Managing Director of Furnware, is one of New Zealand's most exciting and innovative companies, 100% focused on making as many children or students as possible leave their educational careers feeling fulfilled and empowered from the experience. Furnware has taken the concept of learning and furniture and turned it into a successful solution. Although furniture is one cog in the machinery, Hamish believes it is an important one as arguably it is the foundation to the majority of experiences a student has at school these days.

Russell Alexander, the General Manager of Hobbiton Movie Set Tours over the hill in Matamata, is driving a business that is going from strength to strength in the export tourism sector. Following the Hobbit films, they masterfully recreated the concepts from the movie and turned it into the real life Hobbiton experience.

Daniel Faris and the team at Locus Research are experts at taking concepts and prototypes and turning them into fully functional, market-ready products. The Inverse Hair Conditioning System, their latest success, is a breakthrough technology that restores hair from the inside out. Hear the Inverse journey from concept to reality and how they have turned a myth into what could be a worldwide success.
