Wool media is a game changer – and Texus Fibre is playing for keeps
American Steve Weinstein, a global woolcentric sourcer at S2W in the US, had long been coming to New Zealand from the US to buy up wool. One company that Locus Research has been busy working with over the past few months is a new start-up, Balex Marine, which will launch its core product at this May’s Hutchwilco Boat Show.
The Automatic Boat Loader automates the launch and retrieval of trailer boats and Locus has been so impressed with the product that it has also become an investor. Read more
Locus Research is moving this week from its long-time Mount Maunganui base to join the Newnham Park technology precinct in Te Puna.
The company was started in 2002 by Timothy Allan and focuses on product design and development.
Newnham Park is co-owned by Rob Jeffrey, head of Jeffco International, and Steve Saunders, head of the Plus Group of agro-tech companies. Read more
