Matthew DavisonBiomedical Engineer

Matthew is a biomedical engineer, bringing a unique perspective to work at Locus and invigorating discussions with a fresh viewpoint.

While still at university, Matthew took a keen interest self management and improvement, organising a one day conference for the charitable organisation, ‘Engineers without Boarders’ on the subject of sustainable engineering, and attending numerous additional workshops to broaden his skill base.

Matthew worked with Locus on the Delloch hip protection project, using physical model building and finite element analysis to investigate the testing of hip protectors. The silicone model he poured is still in use.

Matthew’s strong problem-solving abilities, proficiency at mastering new skills, and strong work ethic made him an asset to the team at Locus Research. These qualities will serve him well as he completes his final year of biomedical engineering at Auckland University.
